I picked up my second CZ Rami last week. Found online for under $500. Couldn't resist. I originally wanted a 9, but could only find a .40 which I bought at a gun show in April. It's a great shooting little subcompact.
I bought the 9 on impulse. Now I need to decide if I'm keeping both or selling the .40. Decisions, decisions . . .
The new one is on the bottom.

Smith and Wesson M&P 22 Compact.
I realized, after purchasing some really nice wheelguns recently, that I'm a shooter, not a collector.
Sold the wheelguns and picked up a plinker I can shoot all day, wipe down and put in my gear bag, and not have tons of money tied up in safe queens.
Plus, if my wife or daughter show more interest in shooting, it makes a great training platform.

I saw a SCCY 9mm for 200 bucks. At that price it can be a *** and still be worth having. But, I have to admit that it wasn't just the low price.
It was the polymer frame. It was red, my favorite color. I hadda.....

Bought a cheapo used 1911 clone. Regent R100. Made in turkey. It is in fair shape - basic shooter grade.
The counter guy at the LGS offered it to me for 2 bills +tax. My kid has been wanting me to get a FS 1911, and the reviews online ranked the Regent about the same as an ATI or RIA clones.
I figured I wasn't risking much at $217 OTD and worst case it would be a 1911 platform for me to learn on....

I just bought a Smith & Wesson Model 27 in the box with a pinned barrel and recessed cylinder. It speaks for itself.

My last purchase was the ported PC 9mm. I bought it because I decided to step up a bit from the Bodyguard .380 for concealed carry, and had been looking at these at gun shows for a while and finally bit the bullet, so to speak.

My latest firearms purchase was today.
A new Norinco model 1897 shotgun;
A second hand pre AE Winchester '94 30/30; and
A second hand Stainless steel/wood Rossi Puma in 44/40.
Why did I buy them? Because some *#+>!£€ stole my originals in a burglary last month and the insurance only paid out replacement less depreciation, leading to a 40% of value payout. And our Western Action Shooting Nationals are less than 2 months away!!!!

I've been a bad, bad boy. Ever since I belatedly learned that S&W Made a copy of it's fabled Model 52 in 9mm and named it the Model 952, I've wanted one. Some of them are listed for as high as $5K which is WAY out of my league, especially for something I intend to use. Well, last week I ran across a used one for a much more reasonable price, so I bought it. Got it yesterday and can't wait to see how it compares to my Model 52.

Impulse buy for the Wife ...
Stopped in a my LGS to but some more Critical Duty .45 for the Black Pearl and saw a new Model 60 LadySmith in .357 at a marked down price and bought it. Got the guy to commit to installing a Big Dot Tritium on the front and threw in a box of Gold Dot so I wouldn't have to have an empty weapon for the ride home.
Any suggestions for some low recoil .38's for it?

If it's for the wife, I don't think it falls under impulse buy as much as "pay it forward" for something you want later.
As for mild loads, wadcutters are the lightest load you'll find.

Well the little lady has allowed me a perfect 547 for my Birthday and didn't bat an eye when the Black Pearl came home with me, so I figured getting her one she could call her own would get her into shooting.
The wood stocks and "LadySmith" inscription were sure to let her know it was intended for her. She likes it by the way, and has dry fired it so she knows she can pull the trigger on it.
Speaking of the action, it's very light in double action and super light and crisp on let off. One of the finest revolver actions I have found from an out of the box Smith revolver.
They must have tuned it for a female's lesser grip strength. It's really very nice. Much lighter than my 640 Pro Series in double action. Very much like I would expect from a Performance Center action.

First I would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the wonderful and knowledgeable members of and contributors to this forum. Without your input, I would not have been aware of this opportunity. While reading the threads regarding the CHP 4006tsw (a gun we are forbidden to import into the Commonwealth of Massachusetts because it's magazine holds more that the politically correct amount of bullets), I was introduced to the availability of the CHP 4013tsw, with it's 9 round mag. Mine just arrived, it is better than I expected for the price. I have not yet taken it to the range, but will at some point this weekend. THANKS AGAIN!

Simple answer, keep both, as your left hand
needs something to do while the right is
firing the 40
The trick to dual-wielding isn't having two guns exactly alike,
it's having two guns that complement your individual
strengths & weaknesses

Not a Smith and Wesson, although I have about a dozen. I purchased a CZ 82 that filled a couple of slots in my "accumulation." I have other CZs and most models of the handguns chambered in 9x18 Makarov.

Most recent purchase? Model 14 no dash.
Why? Because guns.
Seriously, I wanted a .38 special target revolver, and the Model 14 seems to be the gun to get. I have not been disappointed.

Bought it because I have recently got into the 45acp - and it was a smokin' deal with 3 magazines and an all leather holster for $335 all in....

Nice gift for the wife, I'd recommend some Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel 135g +P. 50-round LEO boxes (53921) can be found for around $30 online, recoil is very mild, and they have a good reputation out of snubbies.

My most recent purchase was a rare 4054 because I bought it for less than I paid for my fair priced 5906.

Purchased a 1987 Model 37 in mint condition a few days ago as a b/u to my 340PD EDC. Range time today w/standard pressure range ammo was fun but my hand is sore from 100 > rounds.

Stopped in at my favorite LGS, and the owner was just taking in on trade a 19-4 nickel 2 1/2", no box or papers. After the customer left it was offered to me for 5 Franklin's. What's guy suppose to do, the gun was there, I was there, before I knew what was happening the the money was on the counter and the rest is history.
Probably didn't stab the proverbial fat hog but not a bad price.

I just went and bought a Ruger 22/45 MKIII. I also already ordered a MKII hammer busing to get rid of the magazine disconnect safety. I will have to take pictures of that and my PSA AR10 for you guys tomorrow.

What's your most recent firearm purchase, and why did you buy it?
I posted over in another thread that I have not gone a month without buying another gun and am on a binge of about a gun a week. I think somewhere in this thread there is a picture of my 13-3s I recently picked up, but my most recent buy was a Model 58 that is over in the 58 thread. I got it because I wanted to put it side by side with my model 57-2..

I bought the AR on a whim. AR's are kinda a dime a dozen anymore, so a .308 one seemed cool to me. That and I wouldn't mind at some point taking a shot at some feral pigs. As for the 22/45, I had one and sold it and really missed it.

Les Baer, 6 inch Longslide .45. I bought it to replace a super accurate .45 I had. I have since shot the best groups I have shot in my 70 years. They are nice guns and they WILL shoot.

My latest purchase was a S&W Victory 22 in camo. Put a tandemkross triger in it and a red dot scope on it. My grandkids want me to teach how to shoot a target pistol and they said the camo was cool. I took them to a gun safety class and they sure are learning how to shoot. Wish I had thier steady hands. It is a great feeling knowing I am passing on my love for guns on to them.

22A-1 & 3" 617 ...
Bought after finding out the wife needs to start with something less than a .38. Even wadcutters resulted in wild flinching and 5' groups at 10 yards.
Picked up the 22A so I would have a plinker too. The optic on it cost more than the gun.

Because it was on sale! I really like the P220's, but the G10 grips and SRT kit are necessary for me. This one came with both from the factory.

4506-1.
Why? Because I've been looking for a like new for several years and just keep watching them get more expensive with each passing auction. Just bite the bullet and wrote the check.

Sent paperwork in for a CMP Garand on September 11th, got a email yesterday that my order is being processed.
Why? Because I always wanted one and I'm worth it.

my latest was a Model 642 w/o the IL. My usual EDC is a 1969 Model 60. I did not want to put too much wear on it, so I got the 642. As well, if I ever lost it for "some" reason I'd rather lose the 642 as it is less expensive and easier to replace than the 60. Below is a pic of my 60.

Model 13 4" in great condition. Why? Because my purchase before this was a Model 686+ Talo and I am hooked on revolvers at the moment
