What's your most recent firearm purchase, and why did you buy it?
Mine is a 3913 Lady Smith.
And I bought it because it looked cool in the LGS consignment display case -- totally on impulse.
After taking it to the range, it shoots so nicely I'm looking for holsters to carry it.
I've show this before, but here is a pic of the "Lady"

Pre rail 3953TSW. Why? Because it's a pre rail 3953TSW. Besides it goes well with my pre rail 3913TSW. Sooner or later it will find it's way into a holster on my belt.

I've been going clipless with sticky pocket holsters of various brands and they all work great for Appendix carry. Not having a clip allows you to adjust the positioning to facilitate concealment or comfort, such as when seated or driving.
The Black Pearl got a Remora and I carried all day today while driving and walking about with prospective customers, sometimes over rough terrain, and it was completely comfortable and undetected. It never slipped from it's Appendix carry position.

My most recent purchase is a 4013. Truth is I do not even have it yet.
Why did I buy it?
To convert into a 1013 so that my 1014 has a brother to sit with

Shorty 45 that I have been meaning to share pictures of, but haven't found the time.
Why? It's hard to pass up a local private sale of a Performance Center 3rd gen. No shipping, no tax, and at the gun show only a $10 FFL transfer.

A Shield 45 APC. Why? Because it was cheap with the rebate, and also because...45APC. Well, I love the 9mm Shield and I figured it would be the same with the 45. I was right.

Not really a firearm, but.....I was at a small town gun show last weekend and came across this Model 41 field barrel. Had to have it.

A non-S&W (Sig SP2022 in .40). Heck, I gotta have a little diversity.

Last firearm I purchased was a Travis Strahan worked PPC revolver built on a S&W 10-6. I got it from Gunbroker because the price was right and I had a hunch that it would have an exquisite trigger and be a joy to own and as it turns out... I was totally right!
My most recent purchase that fits in to this area of the site was a 1973-made Smith & Wesson Model 59. That was at a gun show and I thought it was a fantastic deal at the price they had and the condition was extremely high. That was a fine buy. I've shot it once, I'll probably get it out again some time soon but I bought it more to have than to run a lot, I've got plenty similar S&W pistols for that.

A Kimber Micro 9 with Crimson Trace grip. I bought it because my Damn pointer finger hit the bid button on gunbroker.

In my ongoing quest to dump cheap plastic and replace them all with all-metal guns, I recently committed to buy a 9mm CZ RAMI, safety/dual mode model. I wanted the decocker model with night sights, but they must be between production runs right now and none are available anywhere... plus the street price (if you manage to actually find one) is substantially more that the safety/dual mode version. Price matters a lot to a poor old man like me... ... plus the dual mode does offer me options.
This is my third CZ pistol and probably my last as I'm not getting any younger and I still have other goals to achieve for the collection before my "good years" are up.

A run of the mill 5906... just because it still feels like a real gun.
(As I write this, my P320 is on the long waiting list to remove its enhanced bung-shot ability.)

My second most recent buy is a gen. 2 Glock 22 (my 17th Glock purchase) from a forum member last Tuesday.
The week before the eclipse I had made an offer on a Sig P320c in .357 Sig and was angrily turned down. A few days later he wanted to meet, but we were gone to view the eclipse. I arranged to meet him on the 23rd but he never showed. He contacted me again, wanting to meet last Tuesday afternoon or evening.
I met him, and another guy who was selling the Sig guy a Glock 19. However, Sig guy had sold two of the mags and the holster that came with the P320 to "off-set his loss". I said "no deal" and began to leave. Glock 19 guy got FURIOUS, as apparently Sig guy had put him off four or five times. Without my money, Sig guy could not make the transaction.
I bought my eighteenth Glock, $325.00 from the Glock guy. Sig guy is standing there mad and dumb-founded as I drive away.
I sold the LH holster I got with the Glock for $20.00 and sold the Glock 19 to a former co-worker for $300.00, losing $5.00 on top of my time and gas. I am more than pleased.

My new Kahr 380 cause it conceals better than my J frames, and I wear T's and shorts 9+ months a year.
Great little gun with an awesome trigger.

One of the lgs has a new Rami but I'd want the decocker, and the gun feels a little "blocky" to me, so I left it. I think it was $559 before tax.

Yep. Only safety/dual mode versions available right now with no ETA on the decocker models. Your price sounds about right for a free state. It is a somewhat unique feel. I happen to like it but remember that I am a compact staggered magazine kind of guy.

For me I had 2 opportunities this summer.
1 -was 7 shotguns and a 22 glenfield rifle I got from an aquatinance who was downsizing, included a Beretta A400 xplor in 20, 3 mossy 500s, a franchi insight L-$700. Yeah I know, I stole it, but he wanted to divest & I was there at the right time w/ cash in hand.
2- I won an XD mod 2 9mm 3 inch at our state IDPA match.
That said I have my eyes on another 1911........

Guess the last/latest one was a nice shooter grade pre-18 Combat Masterpiece at the NE O Spring Bunching...... a "salt and pepper set" 6906 and a 6904 both ANIB...... since the beginning of the year Average price $292.
Oh ya over the summer..... some plastic; a full size M&P 9 and a M&P.22 compact both as new and still in the box............market is so soft hard to pass up deals. got about $500 in the pair.
I keep telling myself ENOUGH!!!!!!

Most recent?
An early M639, round trigger guard and fixed rear sight.
Why?
I have no idea as it doesn't fit my collecting criteria. (has to be older than me.) It was there, I was there, and the price was tempting.
I will probably just move it along or trade into something that does fit.

Bought 2 - a 586 no dash 6 inch Nickle and a Model 27-2. They are both in the pipeline so to speak. One supposed to be delivered to my local FFL tomorrow, the other one a MO went out on Sat. Should see it sometime soon. Before that, model 28-2, a model 19 and on and on. I am not sure where it will end. I have the itch ! I need more cow bell !

My most recent semi-auto is a model 52-2. Wanted one for decades and finally got one and it was at a good price.

Yesterday, I bought a High Standard Sentinel revolver, 22lr, 9 shot, 3"barrel.
Made around 1957 and in good shooting shape.
This is a user, not a collector. Walking or riding an ATV, this is a perfect snake gun using those "snake shot loads".
Dove hunting season here just started and it will get carried for this.

I just got a CZ P-06 out of jail after looking around for awhile (basically a P-01 in 40SW - also alloy frame like the PCR and my S&W Model 411). De-cocker; no safety; TruGlo night sights.
Feels *great* in hand, but with family activities all weekend, I haven't had a chance to shoot her yet. Anxiously awaiting the first range trip.

My next to last purchase was a 686 no dash 4" from GB. Needed a good .357 that didn't cost a fortune. It is a LEO trade in but in great condition. My last purchase was a NIB Smith & Wesson M&P15 sport 2 that I bought because, not owning one before, I figured it was time to get familiar with them. Have not shot it yet.

AA 686+ Pro because 4" is short and 6" is long and I didn't have one.

I bought two in less than 24 hours. First was the CHP 4006 TSW. I took it to the range and really enjoyed it. Then I went to another LGS to pickup some ammo and spotted the 5906 TSW in the case, looks like it has hardly been shot. I have always liked these S&W 3rd Gen's and the recent prices have been too good to pass up.

In the last few months I bought 2 pistol grip shotguns, both Mossy's. One in 12 and one in 20. Shockwaved both for fun. Bought a 9mm Shield that came with 3 stripped AR lowers, hated the shield and sold it then bought one of the 4006 CHP pistols that I love. And now for the shock of my life. I bought a 9mm 5" 2.0 M&P in FDE and it's the most accurate pistol I have ever shot. I was shooting the steel targets at our private range out to 35 yards and doing better than any of my other guns at 10 yards. I waited many years to get a CHP 4006 and I can't believe I'm saying the M&P 2.0 stole the show.

I am not completely sure why I bought the 681 and 3" 629 other than the decent price and I didn't want anyone else to have it. As far as the 625-6, I've always wanted a stainless, pre MIM, pre IL Mountain Gun in .45 Colt and I passed on several before. Wasn't going to let this one get away.
