Default My new favorite show just got better!

So, I found a new show I really like on Netflix streaming (blue Bloods), when a few episodes in I noticed that one of the main characters exclusively carries a third gen! Made this show even better.

Anyone know what it is? It's seems to be a full size stainless S&W third gen with Novak sights and a bobbed hammer, but no decocker/safety. Had me curious because I hadn't seen one like that.

It's claimed to be a Model 5946 on this website.

That fits with the photos you posted.

If memory serves me correctly that model Smith, Glock 19, Sig 226 DAO and for a short period Beretta 92 DAO were authorized. They are now allowing Glock 17 for cadets.

I see the teacup grip almost everyday at my gunclub. Many of the almost 500 handgun shooters use this style with most of their handguns. Especially the larger calibers like 9mm-40,45 and even 50cal handguns,

Yes, it's a pretty good show. One of my favorites!

Tom Selleck, who plays Danny's father, carries a Colt Detective Special, and knows how to shoot it!
