All depends on your perspective. When I carried a 39-2 it felt downright airy compared to the 28-2 it replaced and carried half again the round count. I never thought the walnut grips felt like inner tubes. Would I pick one today? Probably not, but back then they worked just fine and the trigger pull, while not as light as a striker-fired gun, didn't have the weight of the cylinder on it, either. SIGs were a pipe dream for a few more years except for those who could afford one in Browning BDA form.
