Default Nickel 39-2 with elk bone grips

This is my one and only S&W semi auto. A nickel 39-2 first sold in Alaska in 1980. Along with all the paperwork was a list of previous owners and original receipt. The grips are Grashorn elk bone, not antler. I bought this about six years ago to make up for the 3913 I gave my son when he was discharged from the Marines. I just think it's real pretty.

Beautiful! I’m sure nobody needs to tell you to hang on to that one!

Quite nice! I have seen many elk horn grips but have never even heard of elk bone grips. Very interesting.

Well, if you are going to have just one, that's a good one to have!
