The funny thing is, when I was younger (and more...immature-hate to say dumber), I absolutely could not stand the wrap-around plastic grips on these fine pistols, and didn’t appreciate them for what they were/are. As I’ve aged, I’ve realized what I missed.

Worry not my friend!! you have seen the light early!! These pistols were about half a century ahead of their time, so this leaves roughly another 25 years before people find out about them! Even better news, they are built to be around for much longer than that, and right now they are found in low prices too, as opposed to their prime!!! (usually down to half of what a "toy story plastic" goes for). My personal experience with these whenever someone sees them at the range is:
-what is that?
-a third generation smith & wesson
-can i shoot it?
-sure!
(bam bam bam bam...)
-wow!!! this is awesome!!! where can i find one?
-yeah, good luck...
Personally, i think that 3rd gems will be phased out only when guns will be in the 40 watts range...
