Default 1911 SC problem

My 1911 pinches my trigger finger !!!!~

it appears there is enough room under the trigger to get some of my finger in harms way Help!!

Change your finger pad placement and see if that doesn't help.

If you’re not shooting with your thumb on the thumb safety, try changing your grip so you keep your thumb on top of the safety.

This ‘choking up’ will probably change your grip and move your trigger finger up just a bit.

It’s also the ‘right’ way to shoot and handle a 1911.

Why is your finger riding the bottom of the trigger face?

Have you ever used a Glock? How about a DA revolver?

I've often noticed that people who developed their handgun skills using Glocks could easily tend to let their index fingers fall to the bottom of the trigger face, or even drag the bottom of the trigger guard.

Revolver shooters usually don't develop that bad habit, due to the shape of the trigger, the movement arc and height of the trigger.
