M745 IPSC sights
I have a model 745 IPSC with fixed sights and would like to know where I can find an adjustable rear sight. I called S&W and they said they didn't make any. He said the cut was a Novac. Any suggestions? Thanks to all.

my friend, i think you answered your own question. if i were you, i would contact Novak at once! he may still have something in stock to fit you pistol, or they could point you to the right direction. Good luck!

I will call Novak. On their website all they have is what I have on my pistol. I am looking for a sight to adjust windage and elevation. LPA has one. Does anyone out there have one of these on their 745?

M745 IPSC sights
Your looking for an LPA TR rear adj sight for the 745. Novak’s are fixed.
Midwayusa had LPA sights that fit the 745 at one time. I’m on my phone and not savvy enough to post a link.

I have a adj sight on my 1911A1 but its a Sports model Norinco in two tone silver and black with nice wood grips on it at this time. They were made by LPA and should be avaiable for yours I believe as well.

I have kind of an unusual 745. It's been documented from Earl @ Lew Horton, and lettered from Roy Jinks.
It came from the factory with LPA rear sights. Maybe all of the adjustable sighted 745 were LPA's but I don't know. I'm sure they would work for your's.

I searched LPA catalog for the TR64SW07 (type 7 - all black) & they do list that (on page 6) for the 645/745.
It's available as a Type 18 (white outline) & Type 30 (2 white dots) also.

4T5 guy:
The Std Catalog of S&W states that some of them came from the factory with the sights you have. Just didn't know what brand the sight was. May check on LPA. Thanks

I always "assumed" the original adjustable were Bomar, but I don't know.
My 745 was pieced together with left over parts, (in 1998,) and
packaged/sold as a Performance Center Special 745, S&W 170101.

I’m sure Seven’s will chime in and confirm, but I believe LPA sights were OEM on the 745 adjustable sight version.

Appreciate the shout-out, but have to admit, despite my great love for the 745, I don't have the answer. I know that Pachmayr was a player back then in aftermarket and Millet was also, MMI as well.
I have a pair of 745's, one is the IPSC Anniversary with the fixed Novak-esque sight and the other came to me with an aftermarket adjustable and the box end label says it was shipped with a fixed sight.
I can say this...
The SCSW has often confused the issue about how many of the 745's were made but the factory original adjustable sight guns were the very last of all 745's offered and they also may very well have been a distributor exclusive gun.
The factory original adjustable sight 745's are without a doubt, unequivocally the RAREST of all 745's ever produced. (produced in quantity I mean... excluding one off PC anomalies... haha, of course I'm jealous... )
