A 645 for $450? Yes, please
Went to a local gun show today. Saw the usual high speed low drag tactical stuff, lots of new guns, some used Smiths that were way overpriced (example, a Model 66-2 4 inch, no box, aftermarket rubber grips, priced at $1,500) and a small table at the back that had several used handguns from a private seller. Had this Model 645 with a price tag of $475, we settled on $450 cash. Wiped it down when I got home, everything functions as it should, seems to have been carried but not shot a lot. I'm happy with it. (Yes, it's a cell phone pic. Best I can do until I get my camera back from my daughter.)

Nice deal you made.
I paid $560.00 for mine with shipping.
It came with 2 mags, no box.
Full size 2nd gen S&W 45's are just cool.
Congrats.

That was a good purchase for the price and what you received for it. Good for you.

Congrats!
I went to two small regional gun shows today. I walked up to one table just as the dealer was peeling off the five $100 bills to purchase a beautiful 645 from a patron.
Had I only been 3 minutes earlier, I would have been $500 lighter.
The dealer didn't want to resell. Claimed he had one when younger and was stoked to get another.

Neat guns, basicly a 1911 sized version of the Model 39 in 45 cal.
Had a 745 back in the day and debated a 745 for CCW but they are a bit large with primitive sites.
That being said the 645 is e a quality firearm that IIRC will even chamber empty cases fed from the magazine.

For that price, I likely would have grabbed it also.
And I have one already. I have mine set up for 45 Super. I like all my third gens. I even picked up a clean 915 the other day for three bills out the door.

I've owned a 915 since they were first introduced. It's one of my favorite handguns.

That was a great deal! I love my 645, and 915. I always wished S&W would have incorporated the removable grip panels onto the 4506.
