There are a number of 6906 pistols that are available right now that are Israeli SDF trade-in's. Some are import marked by Century on the frames because they're well... Century. Bleah. But some are import marked on the barrel itself and has to be disassembled to find the importer's mark. I happen to have one of these ex-Israeli pistols and the import mark is on the barrel, not the frame or slide. I know they're ex-Israeli as I spoke to the importer and he confirmed their origin. Its just there is no paperwork with them, no IDF acceptance marks or Stars of David embellished anywhere. Wish there was though, I have a real respect for these guys and having some proof of gravitas would have been a real boost.

Star of David?

Maybe that explains my question about different proof marks on a 3913/6906 complete slide assembly I asked about HERE.

A star above a D?

The Star of David is the primary symbol of Judaism. It is a six pointed star, not a five. It would never be a five pointed star as its also a religious and national identity symbol for Israelis. What it looks like to me is a foreign country's proof/acceptance marks. Even the State Department traded in their old service S&W pistols. I have a 3906 that has a flaming bomb stamp meaning it was checked and proofed for foreign service security.
