Looks OK to me. Maybe a mite shallower than usual. At least no 'frekling' or leading.

Yes, okay to me. Not knowing exactly what I am looking at, I will say that I have bought guns in similar condition without incident.

I don't see any pitting. Looks to be uniform, clean and bright. If it is the depth of the rifling, I'd say it would likely shoot best with jacketed bullets. Are you experiencing some sort of a problem with this firearm?

Maybe it's the picture, but they look higher on one side than the other. As we're looking at it, one to the right looks to have a little wavy spot.
As long as it shoots ok, neither matter.

Besides not "looking OK", do you have any other complaints about the rifling? Accuracy problems? Are there problems with the gun?

That looks to be a .45 ACP bore, if so they are famous for having very shallow rifling.

Considering the (poor) quality of the photos, and having no clue what the barrel is from, looks perfectly normal. What do you see that caused you to ask the question?

Needs a bit more information and better photos!

Sorry fellas.

I should have mentioned it's a Mod. 915 barrel.New pistol to me.

I shot the pistol today and it did fine. I thought the rifling looked shallow. But maybe the pics were bad; too dark and too bright. Who knows?

But if that rifling is shallow, I wish all my pistols and revolvers were just like it.

I'm gonna post a related thread with targets etc.

You have a great sense of humor. That was very funny.

The minute I read it, I flashed right back to what you were talking about.

If it shoots good, enjoy it.

Sometimes the sloppiest lookin' troops are the real gems.
