Novak Low Mount NS for CS9?
I have been searching the net for a set of Novak Trijicon Low Mount Night Sights for my CS9.
No joy, so far. Anyone know if there is such a thing? If so, do you have the model/part number?
Will 3913 Novak Night sights work on a CS9? Thanks! Regards 18DAI

My S&W parts list does have night sights listed for the CS9, and I would guess they were Novak Low Mounts, since other S&W factory night sights are Novaks.
Front Night Sight (.217) - 902330000
Rear Night Sight - 203140000
Trijicon offers the stepped-style rear sighted SA29 (both of my CS9's wear these) which are very accurate and helped me to not shoot low with these guns. The sights listed in my parts list could be these, and aside from the rear not being Novak Low Mounts, I think you will be very happy with them.
3913 sights will have a taller front sight that will cause you to shoot a bit lower on a CS9.

That rear sight is common amongst all the 9mm & 40 guns, shouldn't be too hard to come by.
The front is a bit more scarce. It's only .217 tall and only applies to the Chief Specials.
I'd suggest calling the mothership. Might be some NOS stuff laying about.
Cheers
Bill

My parts list is 5 years out-of-date, and S&W was making revisions to it so often that even when it was "current" I'd be told that there had been a revision to some parts. This happened when I was calling for 3913/4513 sights back then, BTW.
S&W is presently making their own steel sights, and sending them to Trijicon to have the capsules installed. Considering the 3rd gen's are considered "obsolete" models, I'd be surprised if they've bothered to make new sights for them.
I emailed someone at S&W to ask about any remaining CS9 night sights. I'll let you know if I hear anything.
In the meantime, I'd call Trijicon and ask if they have any remaining stock that wouldn't be specifically listed on their website, as they do still offer some 3rd gen night sights.

Looking at the Optics Plant website, you can buy the Trijicon SA24R Novak rear sight and SA29F CS 9mm front sight separately.

Heard back from S&W. (The guy must've been sitting at his computer. )
No remaining CS9 night sights left. He's the LE armorer/parts contact, so I'd presume he'd know how to access the previous/older computer lists and call back to Parts to ask around.

Looking closely at Trijicon's offerings, it does seem that the Novak rear sight sets use a slightly shorter front sight than the stepped-style rear sight for the same guns. For example, a 3913 uses a .232" front sight for the stepped-style SA08, but a .217" front sight for the Novak SA24 (the same as a SA29 front sight).
If I were to guess, maybe a SA04/SA05 .200 front sight might work out with a SA24 rear sight for the CS9? I think that is the only front sight they make shorter than .217", and the math (by comparison to the 3913) would be similar.
