4553TSW Pre Rail w 4 correct magazines & original case
I have a 4553TSW pre rail that I am considering selling and need help with value. I searched the forum but it has bee a few years since one sold.
Would sell all together - excellent pistol, 4 correct magazines, double mag pouch, and leather belt holster made by, I believe, Don Hume
Also have the correct original case with correct end label.
Thanks for the advice

Sounds awfully nice, which means it will likely go for something well above my means.
Only ones out there (GB completed sales & AL inactive) seem to have sold in the $500-something range.
I'd expect to see a price tag of at least $599 if I found one sitting in a shop around here, but there really aren't enough sales to give me confidence to say it isn't worth more (or less).

I'm not sure that the holster and belt add to the value, but the gun itself is $600.00 or more, IMHO.
If I were selling it, I'd price it at $650.00, because you can always lower the price, but you can't raise it.
Set the anchor on negotiations a little bit above where you expect to sell.
Of course pictures would help us give a better estimate. Well, actually, we all just like to see 3rd Gen pictures!

If you're the original owner and can estimate how many rounds have been fired, it might help your sale. (I'm assuming by "excellent" condition that it's been fired, right?)
Nice gun, though the 4553TSW is less numerous and probably a bit less desirable than the 4513TSW in the pre-rail configurations. A 4513TSW in similar condition with mags, leather, and labeled case would probably sell in the $600 to $650 range, I think. So I agree with TTSH that $500-something for yours.

A few years back I bought a NIB 4553TSW for a sum north of Gary's estimate. Guess I really wanted a DAO 45acp! Don't see many of them in my area.

No, you sure don't... plus New-In-Box (i.e., unfired, complete with everything) adds a premium of as much as $200 around here for hard to find 3rd Gens.

My bench mark is the pre rail 3953TSW I bought about a year ago. That was ANIB and I paid $600.00 plus tax.
Of course, like you I paid the "MA premium", but still it's a 3rd Gen DAO gun. Which makes it better than most of what is currently being made and less than most all metal semi autos.

Thanks for the opinions. I am going to list it later tonight for $735 shipped.
I will list it with all I listed. Figure the 2 extra correct mags, holster, mag carrier are worth the extra $100 and $35 for shipping from my FFL to yours.
