Default 4013

I’m looking at a 4013 with 3 mags and box that I found on a trading site. I got the guy to send me some better pics than what’s on the site and it looks pretty good with just a little holster wear. He was asking $410, which didn’t seem to bad to start with, but I told him I was a little concerned with the holster wear and if he could do any better. He dropped it to $375 right off and not wanting to push too far, it seemed like a very fair price. He’s getting me a price to ship across the state, and I have to pay tax since he’s an FFL and in Florida. Out the door price should be around $425 with tax and shipping. Does that seem pretty reasonable?

Sounds in line, depending (ultimately) on condition, of course. I made an offer recently on a Model 4013 (non-TSW) with three 8-round magazines and no box. I offered $400 which was countered with an offer to sell at $450. Asking had been $500. The gun was in very nice shape.

Ultimately, the owner decided to keep it. I probably should have snapped it up at $450 or at least countered with $425. My bad for hesitating.

That's somewhat more frame wear than the one I tried to buy. From some of my other posts, you probably know that I am anal in the extreme about anodized aluminum frame wear... ... so I can't really give you the best advice. But I'd say that around here, that gun would probably be priced at around $350-$375 with 3 magazines.

He did drop the price to $375. I was quoting what I’d have to pay with tax and shipping. I haven’t committed to buying it yet and I didn’t counter his offer, which now that you’ve offered some insight, I think I will see if he will come down to $350. See...that’s why I consult with the experts.

I'm no expert on anything. I pale in comparison to the real 3rd Gen experts here.

$350 sounds about right. The 3 mags matter a lot here since, at times, they can be hard to find and have a tendency to spike in value. Even now, I'd be hard pressed to find one anywhere for less than $40.

Hmmm...whatever gave you that idea?
Ultimately I plan on finding a 4516, so I can make an all stainless single stack compact 10mm. That’s why I’m not overly concerned with the condition of the frame.

I went ahead and got it. A little over $400 out the door including tax, shipping, and transfer. Other than the holster wear, it looks pristine. I don’t think it’s been shot much.

I think you did well. $425 seems like a good price to me.
