Default Picked up nickle 39-2

While in Dallas for the NRA Convention so friends and I visited a pawn shop next to our restaurant after our meal. I found a very nice nickle 39-2 on display and was able to work out a good deal on, ,no box or papers. Dates to 1975-1976.

Also in the case was a very nice 3913 Ladysmith, I didn't ask about the box, etc. I almost bought it too, but had already spent enough on the trip.

I also got to see the personal collection of one of the authors of our bible, I talked with him and Mr. Knight of Knights Armory as they discussed a Aircrewman revolver My. Knight had just purchased-at auction.

Congratulations!! That is a nice looking 39-2. Thanks for sharing with us, and thanks for supporting the NRA. I'll bet you had a great time at the conference.

Best Regards, Les

Default 39-2

I had one back when I was going through the police academy. I always liked it, but back then the 9MM ammo wasn't that great. I traded for Star PD 45 auto which I carried working narcotics and later as an of duty weapon. I still have it, just retiring it last month.

Recently I started going and buying guns I had before and still liked, so got a S&W 41, 686 and a blued 39-2 (since I couldn't find a nice nickel one). So I was very happy to find this one. Was interested in the 3913 (Tag price was $430), not sure I know enough about them to buy it.
