First...I don't care how convincing someone may be, do not take a pair of needle nose pliers and attempt to bend the ejector that's under the slide. I know within 3 or 4 posts that's what someone is gonna say.
I used to shoot competitively with the Victory 22. If you love the gun, then please stay away from Remington Thunderbolt's & Winchester Western/M22/555.
Make sure the barrel & especially the chamber is scrubbed & cleaned.
Take it easy on the lube. 22 rimfires do not need any more than 1 drop, I'm telling ya. Even better, hose the bolt & inside of the slide when cleaning it down with Spray Rem-oil and wipe it down and that's it, don't add any additional lube. Pay close attention to the face of the bolt. A lot of times when it fails to extract is when there's a buildup of carbon on the bolt face & under the extractor. use a nylon brush or a small pick or similar and clean out any carbon buildup. Plinkster22 mentioned the same thing in his video review of the Victory.
The Victory likes high velocity, such as Federal automatch or CCI mini mags. 40 grain bullets, it doesn't like the lighter weight bullets.
In the end my advice is to ensure the barrel is spotless and the chamber (where the bullet goes) is cleaned. Stay away from cheap bulk ammo and experiment with different types/brands of ammo until you find what it likes. IF after all that it still doesn't run to your satisfaction then give S&W a phone call.
