Default From the BMCM shop

A shave and dehorn job from Bill. This is going back into my pre rail 3913TSW. After a quick range trip for a function check, the gun will go back on duty as my EDC.

Once that's done, I have an ambi safety from my railed 3913TSW that's going to get the same treatment.

Frankly, this is how they should have come out of Springfield in the first place.

Man, that work is flippin' flawless!

Not like I thought it would be anything less, but that rivals some of the factory stuff I've seen.

I'd also be remiss in mentioning how much of a pleasure it was to do business with Bill.

Hmmm.... Now I have to rethink what pistol to send BMCM first. My CS9 needs a thinner decocker and slide release.

Excellent work, as expected! Regards 18DAI

When I have a minute, I'll post a picture of another, unmodified, safety so you can compare. The shave part removed two steps and then the dehorning softened the edges of the main body.

This is a before from a 908. You can see the edge of the safety body is a bit more sharp, as are the edges of the steps.

As expected, no hiccups with at the range. I'll post a picture of the target later if anyone is really interested.

Fifty quick rounds down range and not a hitch. Not that removing and replacing the safety should have done anything, but you never know.

For those interested, I used 124gr FMJ range fodder. Shot a couple of inches low, but that's normal. If I'd bothered to dig out the 147gr FMJ, it would go right where I pointed the gun.

Anyway, I'll clean the non rail gun and put it back into my holster. Then I'll make arrangements with BMCM for the work on the rail gun. Again, S&W should have done it this way from the get-go.

Default More From the BMCM Shop

Ambi Decocker/Safety from my railed 3913TSW.

Shaved to three steps, dehorned, and reblackened. It really looks great.

Back on the gun, it looks terrific. The blackening matches the original part's color perfectly.

Top down look, showing how narrow the profile is compared to the original.

I noticed this on reassembly. Is that a spring hole for decock only?

That of course starts the wheels spinning in my brain!

As time and finance permits, I'll be sending some of my "spare" safety/decocker levers and probably a couple of slide stop levers for a trim and dehorn.

Provided he doesn't get too busy with other peoples' projects.
