3913 7/8 round magazines

hi folks,
picked up a 3913 with 2 mags on line. looking at them, one is 8 round, the other is 7. the 7 round appears to work in the gun, question, was the 7 round made for the 39 series guns? it is marked with an (S), all my other mags are 8 round, first 7 i've seen. thanks....dan .....ps can the base plate be changed?

Sounds like your 3913 came with an early 7rd concealment magazine - very nice. It gives the pistol it's lowest profile.
