Default 40 Tactical CHP

I recently purchased a 40 tactical that was a CHP turn in, any suggestions as to a decent holster that actually fits this custom handgun?

I recently bought a double stack no rail 4053 Tactical S&W and had no luck at all finding anything pre made. I had my local leather smith to make a pancake holster and I am very happy with it.

I suggest calling Aker Leather. Their webstore still shows gear for the 4006TSW. I understand they were/are a principle LE supplier out there. I'd think it likely they still have stock.

Cheers
Bill

IWB or OWB?

If Aker doesn't have anything to fit, I have Gould and Goodrich holster for the P229R that fits my 3913TSW very well. A lot of the Sig guns are very close in size and outline to 3rd Gen semis.

If it's the 4006 TSW, I think the Aker thumb break holster 168/4006T was the CHP approved or issued holster. Keep in mind that for the civilian market, the 4006 TSW was not a very popular gun and has been out of production for more than a decade, so you will not find many holster choices. I was able to get a used Aker recently on Ebay as CHP transitions from the 4006, you may find serving CHP officers looking to sell off their used gear.

I have some Galco open top type holsters for Sig gun and the 4006 CHP guns fit in them .
