Default M41 with S&W Red Dot

My new to me M41 (2003) has a Smith and Wesson red dot on it and wondering who made these for them? Range today and put 100 trouble free rounds through it. Revolver guy but think I'm in love with the M41....picture shows thirty rounds at 25 yards rested on my range bag. Extremely happy with it and the scope. Now if I could only do that offhand.....

Would like to know more about the scope. Anyone have any info on them???

The model 41 is a fine target pistol although some examples are know to be quirky with different ammo. Mine works well with the CCI standard velocity 40 grain as do many here, so I'd suggest at least trying those. I also find they are about the tightest shooting of anything else I've tried.

I bought my 41 brand new in 1979 and put 10's of thousands of rounds through it. The only problems I've encountered are when new (current production) magazines are used - most times they won't even fit in the gun. The new Magazines are garbage so if you need more of them, I'd personally recommend buying older used ones in good condition. They are 2 to 3 times the price HOWEVER they actually work!

Use it well!

Guess I lucked out Chief. Bought two new mags from Brownells and both work great. Have shot nothing but CCI SV and it works great...you're right on target there.
Have you ever seen a S&W branded scope? Would like to know more about them.

I'd buy some lottery tickets as long as your luck is running hot!

Looks like a Quality scope. Probably made under Private Label licence for S&W in the last few years by one of the better makers.
