Default 4013 TSW ?

Hey All, recently purchased a 4013 TSW and do not care for all the tactical markings on the slide. Is there a DIY way to remove these markings ?

Yup, a selection of silicon carbide abrasive paper (wet/dry)180 up to 600 grit, a surface plate or other suitable perfectly flat surface, water, dish detergent, and lots of elbow grease.

Detail strip the slide then scrub the thing back and forth parallel to the long axis starting with the coarse paper until the etching is gone then work up to 600 grit. keep the paper plenty wet and adding drop or two of dish detergent helps keep the chips in suspension keeping the paper from clogging. Flats can either be left shiny or re-blasted.

Cheers
Bill
