Default CS9 / 3913 Frankengun?

I know that many of the parts and parts assemblies are interchangeable on similar 3rd generation semiautomatics. Do any of the experts here know if you can mount the slide and barrel from a 3913 on a CS9 frame to make a CS9 long slide?
Thanks!

You can mount a 3913 upper on a CS9 lower, but unfortunately there is a noticeable gap between the front of the frame and the lower lug of the slide. This keeps it from being a viable combination for me.

You could search for a pre-rail 3913TSW, or even one of the early 7-round flush-fit steel baseplate 3913 magazines to basically achieve the same effect with a 3913 pistol.

That's why I have a pre rail 3913TSW. OTOH, I've been thinking about a CS9 for pocket carry. If I can find one.

Oh noes! The gap is so cheesy looking! That kills it for me. Mission abort.

Not for pocket carry but with the 7rd mag a 3913 is the same height as the CS9

Not talking pocket carry here, but replicating the 3913 top end on a CS9 frame in a safer format.

I would not do it. I think FastBolt explained why in another thread.

Out of all the guns Ive owned and been issued, the CS9 is one of only two or three designs that really is close to "perfect" as is. TercGen grips making it more so. I wouldnt change it. My 0.02 Regards 18DAI
