Default Which wood grips for my 3913?

I am wanting to get some wood grips for my 3913. Would like to thicken them up slightly and I just really like the look and feel of wood grips.

I know of two companies that have them Hogue and KSD. Are they the only options? Also looking for opinions on each of the grips.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Default 3913

They are the only two I know of. IMO the KSDs would be a slight thicken, the Hogues a major thicken. I have attached a photo of a 3913 with KSD's, and two 6904s, one with the factory grip and the other with a Hogue. I know the 6904 is a double stack, but you can see how much material they add on each.

Been using the Hogue wood grips on all my 3913/14s and NLs since the early 90s........ I prefer the checkered wood.

The stock factory grips seem too small and flat for my hand...... don't feel like I have a good solid grip on the gun

While thicker; IMO it's often the shape of the grip that's really important... Hogue's provide a nice palm swell for my medium size (glove) hand with little bit of an arched backstrap....... overall they give you a somewhat Smith Model 39 feel..... without effecting concealed carry.

I have KSD wood grips on two Beretta's a Compact (13+1) and a single stack 92 M (8+1)........both are stippled wood...... while the panels are thicker than the Hogue grips on the 39xx guns .... their shape makes them very comfortable in the hand. Beretta factory wood grips have a more squared off profile and while the thickness of both are about the same the KSD grips feel much better and more secure in the hand

Final thought ..... I tried Hogue wood grips on a 6906 in the 90s ..... for me they made the grip way to thick.
