New pair of pants for my 4506
Hiya Gents,
Got me a nice little package from Kramer the other day. A burgundy horsehide #2 I had ordered a back in May came in. Nice and rigid and I love the color... Methinks I be needin' a new belt & mag pouch to match
Also earlier this week I spied an old stock Galco 9036 on ebay... for $35 I had to grab that one too, it's virtually brand spankin' new. Now we wait for the new shoes from Germany to show up
Cheers
Bill

VERY nice my friend! You scored. I especially like the IWB holster.
I recently got a "new old stock" Galco IWB holster off Gunbroker. For cheap too!
Hard to find good and comfortable IWB holsters for the 4506. And I seem to be getting a lot of approving looks from females when I carry the 4506 IWB.
Is your 4506 equipped with a spurless hammer? If so, good idea. I need to get mine set up like that. Regards 18DAI

Good eye Yup, I prepped a MIM spurless with a new matching sear and a bit of judicious stoning, added a MIM trigger so it all matched. Buttery smooth pull in DA . Much as I usually dislike MIM I have to admit the MIM fire control bits are dimensionally perfect and uniformly smoothly finished. It's very easy to get a supremely slick trigger with the MIM parts.
I never much saw the point of a spurred hammer on a TDA duty gun. Seems no different to me than one wanting a hammer or a cocking piece on a striker gun, useless.
Besides, hammer bite is an issue with my paws so all my carry pieces are fitted with spurless hammers.
Cheers
Bill

I agree sir!
All my duty guns, 4566/4516-2/4513TSW/3913 had spurless hammers. The only one that did not was my 4506-1.
Looks like another thing for me to add to the list of work I would like you to do! Regards 18DAI

Nice looking leather BMCM! Picked up a NOS DeSantis thumbreak for my 4506-3 earlier this year off of eBay that looks similar to your Galco.
I'm all for spurless hammers on my 3rd Gens as well, even my 'house gun' 5906 has one. Now that I received your excellent 1-piece guide rod for my 4506-3, a spurless hammer is the only thing missing.
