Just bought a used 1066 have wanted on for some time. Hoping to get idea on date of manufacture. I got it for $800. Looking forward to shooting it, used to have an issued gun similar to it. A model 1076.

All six 10mm models were made from roughly 1990 to 1995 according to Roy Jinks.. A call to S&W and they can give you specific date,.You paid a fair price for this model, 4 1/4 inch barrel the 1006 is the 5" version.. 5067 1066's were produced..

Shot it today after thorough cleaning. Reminds me of my days with Spokane county sheriff's office. Fun gun

Lived in Spokane twice during my AF career. Love that area. I have a 4566 that I really enjoy shooting.
