Default 3953TSW, No Rail, May Become Favorite Carry Semi-Auto

I am a revolver guy. That's not going to change. But, I have really grown to like these Third Generation Smiths. Picked up a few since January. Could not resist this 3953TSW from the big "auction site". Had to pay shipping, State tax (NC business selling), FFL transfer, and credit card fee...but it's here.

It appeared to have been fired very little, if at all, since leaving the factory. It ate 150+ rounds this evening. This just bumped the 3913TSW (short grip) out of the carry rotation. Prefer the consistent double-action.

A great looking gun! I remember seeing that on THAT site and almost bid on it.

I carried an S&W model 19-4 for 24 years and a model 15 for nearly ten years, so I took to the nice DAO trigger on my 3953 like it was one of my old duty guns. I carry it IWB in an old clip-on Bucheimer-Clark 14C-79.

Very nice!

I've had, and carry, my 3953 since 1991.

I am also a revolver guy at heart!

Nice! I have a 6946 and I do like the DAO trigger. Very simple to use, nothing to fumble and the trigger pull feels much like that of a double action revolver.
