Default SW99 9mm Pricecheck

Hey guys - I'm considering a nice condition SW99 in 9mm with three mags, box and paperwork for $275. I'll try to get it for less, but at $275 what says the hive as to value? I already have three first gen Walther P99's in 9mm with the AS trigger, but an SW99 would be cool to have as well...if the price is right. Thanks

A LGS has had a S&W 990L .40 S&W lying on a shelf for five years, maybe longer. Guns chambered in .40 are no longer popular here, S&W hasn’t supported that model in about fifteen years, holsters are not readily available. If you want a carry gun there are several current models from various companies that might be a better choice.

I wanted an SW99 when they first came out, but in the event purchased an M&P 9 instead when they became available. That is a good price, but CDNN is selling the M&P 9 which you may (or may not) prefer for $299.

Since he already has a bag full of 99s, don't think he's interested in a different model or CCW. Personally, that sounds like a good price. I'd buy it...

Thanks for the input. I ended up buying it for $240. It's missing the manual and backstraps (which S&W was kind enough to send me) but is otherwise complete with three mags and in great condition. Once I get the small backstrap in I'll take it to the range and run a variety of ammo through it and post a comparison thread of it vs. the 1st gen P99s which it seems it is often compared to by potential buyers.
