Came across a Model 59 Patent Pending nickled pistol in about 70% condition.. While looking her over noticed its marked SANTA ANN on the slide. The gun shows of use with some finish loss, the worst on the back strap. No box or tools ..1 mag. My question is being marked law enforcement add any value ??? Appreciate any thoughts. Wilson
Depends if you like it. I may pay slightly more on a rare or odd dept. Most of the time it is still based on condition. I have not seen a Santa Ann- how is is marked? Photo? Be Safe,
Generally a normal P.D. marked handgun has no increase in value. There are exceptions, such as the Auston, TX 38/44's and model 27's all of these were nickel finished.
