Default SW 4006 Confusion

Hello all,

I recently purchased a Smith and Wesson 4006 sidearm from my LGS and am attempting to learn more about it. It is marked with “Nevada P & P” on one side and is serialized as VZE 40XX... Does anyone have information on this firearm?

PS I’m new here, let me know if I posted in the wrong thread or am being (in general) an idiot.

I saw another gun on GB this morning with Nevada P&P. It looked little used. The Nevada P&P stands for Nevada Parole and Probation. Probably a good buy. Congratulations.

Default Date of Manufacture?

Yes, this firearm appears to have been lightly used, shot, and well cared for. Does anyone know more about this cool firearm?

Unfortunately, there are additional stickers from gun stores that obscure the original. Attempting to peel these stickers off proved fruitless.
