4506 Grip Interchangeability?
Quick question... I was curious if the curved backstrap grip from a 4506 would fit on my straight gripped 4506-1? I would assume that they’re not interchangeable due to the step in the frame in the 4506, but just wanted see if anyone knew for sure.

Yes it should. The grips are what’s different not the shape of the frame.

It will. I regularly swap 1076 palmswell grip, arched 4506 grip, and straight 4506 grip on my 4506 and 4566.

This.
Well, except for the 1076 part.
I moved grips around on my 45XXes multiple times before deciding that I liked the straight grips best.

Yep, straight or curved back strap grips for the 3rd gen S&W large frame pistols will interchange.

If they don't I've been doing it wrong for a long time. I always swap out the straight grip for the curved. Makes it feel more like a Model 39 - the best grip shape my hand has ever felt.
