Slide Racker for 22A Pistol?
Hello. I am looking for a slide racker for a S&W 22A Pistol. All I can find are youtube videos of some sort of a clamping turnbuckle from a hardware store. Looking for something purpose made for the 22A. Any suggestions besides sell the pistol? Thank you.
If anyone at a machine shop has made one in the past, please PM me if still available.
I can't get a hold of the Republic Machine Trading company that was mentioned in a similar thread from 7-8 years ago

Have you checked with TK custom? They tend to be the guys that make parts trick out S&W 22's these days. Volquartsen may be another worth trying.

Thanks for the reply! Neither of those companies show anything on their website, but I emailed both anyway

I'm thinking that it wouldn't be hard to attach a small knob (from hardware store) to the rear of that slide if you really wanted one. That said, I had three of these pistols and NONE ran reliably for me. (I know others experience may differ but I also know I'm not alone in the problems I had.) If yours runs good, I'd be leery of tempting fate and adding weight to slide/bolt. It may ( or may not), force you to run hotter ammo to compensate for the weight change.
In any case, I'm sure there are many here who would be interested in what you find out.

THE PISTOLS OF THE FEW FRIENDS THAT I KNOW WHO OWN THEM, HAVE ALL MADE NUMEROUS REPEAT TRIPS BACK TO THE FACTORY. NONE OF THEM RUN RELIABLY, SO YOU ARE NOT ALONE Wee Hooker.....

I'm surprised to read about 22As malfunctioning because mine, a Talo edition, has been 100% trouble-free. I guess I was lucky.
