Default Model 908?

Saw this in a LGS today. Seems unfired.....

Decent price? I don’t much about this model. Super short reset. Reminds me of the original Sig P225

Good price - the 908 is the value model, later renamed American Pride, of the much desired 39xx series.

Probably be $50-$75 higher in a retail establishment around here.

I'd buy it for that.

I tend to have no interest in the value pistols but I would probably buy that.

I have a 908 and it's a great pistol to shoot with accuracy. I think I paid $1.00 more for mine than that one. I say buy it and shoot the heck out of it.

Not a bad price at all, especially since it looks to be in good - great condition. I own two model 908s. Love them! One was my EDC pistol for a few years until I got my hands on a 3953, which is basically the same design but DAO and without the safety/decocker. Anyways... BUY IT!

More than a good price. With box and mags, I would have expected to be closer to $400. (I'd go that high if one were available locally.)

I would have dislocated my shoulder reaching for my wallet for that price! That would never turn up for that price in my area. In short, buy it!

I own two. A 908 and a 908S. They are excellent shooters despite their less than stellar trimmings! I also own it's more expensive older brother, the 3913 and they shoot and perform just as well as the 3913.

At that price & unfired, I would scoop that bad boy up in a heartbeat!

If you don't get it, at least give me the name of the LGS & I'll buy it!

Get it before it's gone!

Yep, get it. Closest I’ve seen in my area recently is a 3914, no box for $395

What was a value line pistol then is now "They do not make them like that anymore". Nice price for a nice gun. If anything wears out it can still be replaced or upgraded online if not from S&W.

Default Model 908?

Sorry guys lost track of this thread. It did sell but magically it’s back at the shop LOL

The guy who bought it last week has a history of buying then bringing them home. He then decides he wants something different and brings the gun back to trade on something else. His income allows that I guess

Been there done that!! Not anymore. Choose carefully and avoid trading. That 908 looks great and should provide years of service.

We had a guy up here in MA who did the very same thing. He'd buy, owns it for a week or two, and then trade it back in for something else. I guess it was cheaper than buying them all and keeping them. His favorite shop got a big kick out of his antics... but they sure did like those sweet "short-term rental fees" he paid!

I would jump on a clean 908 with two mags at that price. Make for a dandy carry gun.
