2206 slide stop spring dimensions
Hi guys, I hope you don't mind if my first post here is a request for help, but I'm in a bit of a fix and I could use some help...
I've been cleaning my 2206 and I've managed to lose the slide stop spring (henceforth SSS); I've been looking at Numrich to get the part but I don't think they ship to Italy, so I've been thinking about getting a "replica".
I would really be grateful if any of you guys could tell me the dimensions of this spring... I think that getting one with the same diameter, length and wire thickness I should be able to run the gun decently enough...
Thanks for the help and sorry for the bother.

Edit: He does not answer PMs, unfortunately...

Give me a day or so, I will get you the dimensions.
I bet I could drop one in a letter to you if all else fails.

That would be perfect shoot summ, thanks! I've been trying to make do with a ballpoint pen spring but I've had some issues...

CRenzi,
Since I have a number of 422’s and 622, thought I would try to answer your request.
I attached a picture of the spring. The dimensions are as follows:
Wire diameter is .015”
Outside diameter of the coil is .129”
Relaxed spring length is .250”
I looked through my spare parts and didnt find one so I removed the one from my 422 to measure. I measured everything and started to reinstall it and it went flying. After hunting on the floor with a magnet for about 30 minutes to no avail, I sorted through my box of springs and found one that was close except for length. Cut it off and installed it. Worked fine. Thought I might try to find the original one more time with the magnet, I found it. See attached picture. The second picture is the actual spring.
Regards,
George

Thanks George, with these dimensions I should be able to find a viable replacement for this spring.
I do feel bad about puttng you in my same condition... These things fly out of the frame like they want to get into low orbit.
I think I will thread a bit of line in the spring beforehand so that even if it jumps out it will have something to anchor it down.
I hope you find it, anyway. If it's any consolation, I'm sure this info will come in handy for a lot of other people...
Thanks again!

I use a right angle dental pick/probe for many small springs like that.

Guys, thanks. I've been able to substitute the spring thanks to George's info and the gun works flawlessly.
I hope you've been able to find your lost spring.
