Default Value of NIB CQB

I have a NIB 45 CQB that I am interested in selling. It has original case and 3 clips. What is the value of it?

The value is what someone will pay. I would pay $300 at my LGS.

$300 is ridiculous. What is fair market value? I’d like to hear thoughts from people.

Just off the top of my head... maybe just shy of $2000? Maybe even a little over, since it's NIB? I feel like used PC guns end up being around $1300 - $1500 on GB. So this would be... more.

I agree with MattyD380, about $1800 to $2100. The two tone aluminum framed 4563 PC 45CQB was the one made in the largest amount.

Nice gun. I'm keeping my PC 45CQBs. Nothing like them being made anymore. Good luck! Regards 18DAI

The value is far more than I can afford to pay, of that I am sure. They are so rare around my area in any condition, that I can't put an accurate number on it, but something over $1,500 for certain. 18DAI probably has it nailed better than I can attest to from my own observations & experience.

Welcome to the Forum, newbie. We do get folks here from time to time who join just to mine the opinions of knowledgeable people here about gun values. Often, those new ones get the information they are looking for, then disappear. Nothing wrong with that, I guess, but here's a suggestion for you: have the courtesy to accept what you get without being judgemental and demanding, and for any responses you get that you appreciate, hit the "like" button to at acknowledge them.

By the way, there are a few versions of the "CQB" that you say you have. A couple of them are more valuable than the others due to rarity. I invite you to research them here using the "Search" feature.

Happy trails. I have a feeling that we won't be seeing much more of you after your thread is done. That's OK, though. We are (mostly) happy to share information with new people as long as they mind their manners.

Thank you everyone for the assistance.

Vigil, the number on the gun is 0211. Does this mean anything in regards to rarity and increasing the value? I really don’t know what I am looking for in that respect.

Here's the problem with the above estimates of value, a year or 2 ago they would have been fairly accurate for an ANIB CQB with PC box and matching serial numbered label. Unfortunately, since that time the market has crashed (for good reasons not bad ones but still...) and the auction prices for all guns from current production to rare PC guns has tanked. PC semi-auto prices have been especially depressed over the past year to the point where ANIB PC Shortys aren't even getting near $1000. If I had to sell a CQB right now I'd expect around $1400ish in the condition that I see in your 1st picture assuming it has the original label, with a final auction price of slightly more or less depending on the whims of the bidders on that particular day.

I don't think that his response was out of line in this respect. He was not argumentative, just asked for honest fair market value. If you had a gun that you knew was relatively rare, expensive, and might be worth good money and someone told you they'd only pay 1/5 of what it is worth, you'd be inclined to tell them no. And perhaps even inclined to tell them it was a ridiculous offer.

It would be like someone offering me $200 for my 460 XVR. Uh..no.

I hope he does come back and learn more about the hobby and the wonderful guns we all enjoy. If not, it doesn't hurt to help someone along on the adventure of selling a gun that isn't into the sport and got it as an inheritance or had it given to them.

I suggest going to GB or GA and see what the market prices are at the moment. If you click on past closed auctions you might see if any sold and for how much.
I noticed guns on some auction sites are not even drawing any bids right now. I do believe the gun market has taken a break from a few years ago.

Perhaps you didn't know, this forum has a "Classified - For Sale" area. Sorry to offend.

Likewise, I'm not getting the hostility. I do know a couple members who use us just for values, but the OP is not one of them. Unless I am missing something, I say let's welcome the newcomer.

Several people on this thread know more about these guns than I do, but based on what I have been outbid on in the past, if NIB with label it should be on the higher range of MattyD and 18DAI's estimates. I base this on two things: Mine (4 T-T, 1 black, 1 4566) came in the black case, with my CQC numbers in the teens to one-fifties. This is the blue PC case, so if it has the label it makes it a little different from any i have seen. Then the note says it is 211. SKJOS listing shows 211 as the last CQB made- CQC0211. Maybe he can confirm this is the stated range. I would suggest having it 'lettered' to see for sure.

Don’t worry, I was not offended😊

I just knew it was worth more than that and I wanted a fair assessment. I inherited this handgun. It has been a safe queen it’s whole life and I’d like to sell it to someone that would really value it and use it.

The people of this forum should take it as a compliment that individuals like me join to get accurate assessments of firearms. It means I respect your opinions.

Thanks again everyone for the help!

When you're ready to sell it, what better place to list it than here?

Tell me about it! He is like a human 3rd Gen vacuum cleaner!

We already have a shortage in Massachusetts caused by our super-restrictive laws & regs, including the hated "approved handgun roster."

Thank God that I am in pretty good shape 3rd Gen-wise. But if Jeppo decides to turn his attention to blued "pre-IL" revolvers, I'm screwed.

I'll have you know I'm a non-discriminatory, equal opportunity vacuummer. Last night's acquisition was my first 1911 (not even a Smith, in order to share the love) and any moment my FFL should be receiving an excellent condition Gen 1.

I also sold a 45APC earlier this evening. It was a Norinco Sports model 45APC. A 1911A1 frame in silver and Black with a tricked up trigger and hammer. Spring set and rod as well. Only had about 1000 rounds thru it. A good friend bought it for a fair price as well as a Ruger 6 shot 357 Revolver from another club member. The money was flying around the gunclub to-night quite nicely.
