Default 52-2 questions....??

I just picked up a 52-2 in really great condition. Took it apart as the gun has been in storage for over 15+ years with the slide locked back. My 1st question is how long should the recoil spring be? I'm thinking that it has been compressed for so long this may affect operation.
Also, is this a "normal" discoloration on the barrel? I have never seen this before and want to be sure there is no issue with the barrel..When I get it all back together I will post some pic's..20181008_150941[1].jpg

I'd just look thru the barrel and see if the rifling looks perfect, or if had a squib round stuck at sometime. If good, shoot it.
You can always get a new recoil spring thru Wolff Springs.

You have nothing to worry about, that barrel looks fine to me externally.

As mentioned your barrel looks just fine, and as for your recoil spring, I wouldn't give it a thought. These pistols shoot mid range ammo, and there is barely any recoil. Your pistol would have had to have been stored in the cocked back position to have compressed the spring long enough over the last so many decades. Matter of fact my 52-2 which has a serial # A107xxx has the original spring in the pistol. I rarely shoot it, but when I do I put a few hundred down the pipe. All of my magazines have there original springs in them as well. Tempered spring steel springs would be more affected if fully compressed over long periods of time.
