Default Victory Red Dot Placement

Just purchased a victory along with a vortex venom red dot. What's the rule for where to place this sight along the rail? Sometimes you see them on the far end of the rail, other times there placed closer to the shooter. Need some guidance here.

I have mine closest to the shooter. Don't know why, just put it there and works just fine.
It's easy enough to put on and remove, try going to the range and try both and please let us know what you find.

The placement is up to the individual shooter as we are all different in how far away we want the sight to sit at. For some right up close works really well and others further down the barrel is perfect for them. Put it on and slide it back and forth until you hit your sweet spot for you and then lock it down.

I have them seated mostly all the way back, gives a better balance to me. Can be personal preference.
