Shield Out; CS9 In
My LGS had a new-looking CS9 in the showcase (I check every week and this one just turned up on Tuesday).
I really liked the size; feel; grips; trigger; and that it is a perfect companion to my 6906, 4513 and 4566 (plus all my other Smith semi's).
I had them put it on a shelf with my name on it; came back here and read a bunch of glowing opinions plus a bunch of other interweb stuff....
...and went today and traded my 9mm Shield, which this will replace, plus a safe queen for the CS9 and a store credit.
When got home and took it down to clean and lube....there was nothing to clean. It looks unshot. So some oil, a bit of grease and I hope to get to the range either Sat or Sun or both days.
I'd add a picture...but it looks like every other new CS9 with stock grips and two mags, case and paperwork for $425 and no tax. (I'll probably put a FO on the front sight...I have a spare one somewhere.)

Local shop has a very nice one for $400. Stainless with one mag. Mags are too expensive and hard to find for these so I passed.

That is a very good deal for a LNIB CS9. Good deal if it's a blue CS9, better deal if it's a Stainless version.

Welcome, once you get a CS9, you will start looking for a CS 45 to go with it. Resistance is futile.

Now you need some TercGen grips to make it "perfect". Regards 18DAI

In that case, I'm doomed.
And here I am, well pleased with a Shield in .45 and a 4513TSW. Anyone want to trade a nice Shield for....yep, CS9 in .45? (I can already hear the murmur from inside the safe, " CS45, CS45, CS45." It's getting louder.

Prepare to acquire CS45. Resistance is futile. You cannot argue with your safe.

In my case, this was not exactly how it went. True that I started looking for the accompanying CS45 as soon as I bought a CS9.
The problem was I kept buying CS9s in the meantime.

They're from a company called KSD - out of Turkey. They have their own website or EBay usually has them. I like them but ....
Every set I've bought has "pivoted" a bit and required some internal epoxy'ing. Which can be a bit of a challenge given everything that's going on inside the CS. Once in place though they're very nice, look great.

I have a CS9 , CS40-10mm , and a CS45 . Love them all , a major mistake that S&W stopped making them . If you aren't happy with the trigger , I happily endorse BMCM as someone to send it to . He did my CS40-10mm conversion , and he has my CS9 cleaning up the trigger and going through it . You won't be sorry if you contact him .
