Default info on the s&w 1911sc e series

hello I wonder if anyone would know of the internal differances between the 1911sc e series and the performance center 1911. I know about the sights, lightning holes on the slide, grip etc. I was told the the e series is also made in the performance center so I am wondering if it is also has a hand laped slide, worked triger etc. thanks in advance if anyone has any insight.

To my knowledge, the E-Series upgrades are cosmetic only. I own both guns you mentioned and frankly prefer the E-Series because it has night sights and does not have a Briley bushing. The Briley bushing of the PC gun may make for better accuracy but for a defensive handgun intended to be typically used at short range, tighter groups are a non-factor and those bushings make the gun a little harder to dissemble and reassemble.

i always wondered that but I liked the simplicity and sights of the SC. Trigger I was told was also good but I've been content with leaving that gun stock yet my polymer guns are all triggers and gods and other misc things. I might one day send one of my gen 3 semis off to get work done.
