Default Model 457 Magazine Question

Can the magazine pictured below be used in a Model 457?

I have read several threads about this, and the various black/orange/yellow followers, and the more I read, the more confusing it gets.

I bought the magazine years ago and have used it since then with no problems, but I want to know if there is a logical reason why I should not use it in my 457. Thanks.

My general understanding is that the black followers will be the most up-to-date and compatible with any factory S&W 45xx magazine, so they are probably the best choice for defensive purposes. That being said, my red follower mag works fine for me, though I keep that one for range use only, just to be safe.

I have 4 - 4516-1 mags that I use in my 457, they work very well.
Use them, if they fit the mag. well and perform I can see no reason why not.
