Yea, I prefer 45s for putting down miscreants - but there are days where a 45 won't conceal as well as the CS9 or its to damn hot and humid to carry one. Thats where the CS9 excells.

As to the CS45, well......lets just say if TercGen had not made me grips for it, it would be long gone. I prefer the 4513TSW, early version as my carry 45. But the CS45 serves a purpose for me, currently. And, I don't care what happens to it. So theres that. Regards 18DAI

Most appropriate reply John.

I was a bit apprehensive in even going there.

But if you ever, (and I’m sure you have,) spent some time doing some e-exploration you’ll see 18 has sung the praises of many “other” S&W semi’s. The pre-rail/non railed 3913 TSW was one of them albeit that was very many years ago. I’m happy that he still is following the .45 acp’s that come up cause he was instrumental with me FINALLY getting a non-railed, full length 4513 45TSW.

Agreed I really like my CS9, but my CS45/40 “convertible” will not be leaving my possession. Especially since I’ve been finding/hoarding CS40 magazines recently for exceptional prices.

I guess I’m totally out of because I just assumed they were all made from 3913 grips but now I suppose the are made from 3913 TSW stepped grips? That’s what I started with when I made my first and last attempt for my CS9. I blew through the outside in the final internal “adjustment.”

Actually, jsbethel's grips are made from the arched 3906 grips, which was a bit of a challenge at first, but I think they turned out very nice in hand. He asked me to try making a set like this and so far they are the only one's I've tried, but I did score a few 3906 grips afterwards because I plan on making a set for myself as well. It's a subtle arch but I really like the feel of them.

And FWIW, I personally don't like to use the 3913TSW pre-rail grips to make CS9 grips. The regular 3913 grips seem to have a better fit.

I recently found on Ebay a NOS Don Hume Double Nine holster for my CS9. At $20 shipped, I'm very pleased.
