Umm, let’s see, could it have been a wonderful Pre-Rail 3913TSW?

Very NICE I’m glad you got it. I’ll find one “when it works out.”
Until then I’ll keep admiring them, (OK coveting them,) from afar.

I picked up two 3rd gens this past year. A 3914DAO and thanks to my friend cherrypointmarine, a PC Recon 45. Thank you again cherrypointmarine!

I will post a thread on the Recon 45 after BMCM sends it back to me and I have a chance to wring it out. I am having it converted to a "squidsix" special! Regards 18DAI

Still holding out for a M&P 2.0 CORE 5" or longer, in 10mm

If I don't see them before mid spring, RIA 52009 10mm double stack 1911, or maybe a Glock 40 MOS 10mm (6" barrel)

I did pick up a Ruger Mark III stainless lower, and a Mark II blued lower bag-O-gun. Lots of 6906 mags and some 1911 holsters in anticipation of the RIA.

Haha. I figured right off that you might know something about that TSW. I let it sit for a few hours, then pulled the trigger. I usually do something foolish at least once a year. I guess I got this one out of the way in the first 72 hours of 2020! It's not my fault that these pistols are selling for so much (ok, that's debatable). But all someone has to do is begin manufacturing something close in quality, which would probably cost about $$$$.

Congrats joseywales. Good thing you pulled the trigger when you did. I know two others who were trying to.

Nice score on a great pistol! Regards 18DAI

Thanks. I feel like I should hang peg board in my safe, with outlines for each variant in the 3900 series. I have a 3913, 3953 DAO, and now I want to try the TSW. Nitpicking, I want to try just a bit shorter grip, like TSW has. When at the movies, or even in my truck, the 3913 and P239 I have rub a bit. So much so that I ended up with a Colt Detective in a Bullitt holster at the movies. It's fun to try new things!

Now I just need to find some 7 round TSW magazines.

While you’re trying different compact S&W 9mm’s, you should try a CS9.

Try it you’ll like it.

Best acquisitions this year? Without a doubt, this pair of High Standards! 1954 Duramatic and a 1966 Supermatic 106 Trophy!
Both are tack drivers!

No doubt Jim. A friend of mine who's been hitting auctions and gun shows for decades has an endless supply of "toys" that he buys/sells. His plan was to liquidate during retirement, his version of a 401. However, his pension is strong and it seems he still buys two for every one he sells!

He has very little interest in 3rd Gen pistols, but will buy anything if the price is right, or he acquires an estate, etc. He let me try his CS45. Man, I wanted to like it. If it were a CS9, I probably would have bought it from him and gotten a good deal. I just didn't like it in 45. The search continues...

Manurhin Walther PPK/S 380,

The only drawback so far is that I now spend a little more time over here instead of wheel guns, and of course......you guys are the same sort of enablers that frequent the other sub-forums..so now the "next" slippery slope begins for me, and this thread ain't helping with the above posts about the rarities and treasures still awaiting out there somewhere!
I love my 39-2 is precise easy to handle and carry. What more can you ask for, does not fail, peace of mind always.

I had been longing to replace a long gone 2206TGT. I think I actually did one better. I got a 4 1/2 inch 2206. The 4 1/2 inch has awesome balance and it is actually more compact than my 22/45 LITE. I'm not into "target" shooting the way I was years ago, nor am I as steady handed. This gun will not be for sale ever....
