Default I did get that 4040PD

It’s totally ironic to me that you really don’t hear that much about these that often, (or even see them,) then there’s a few of us that are finding them.

Do to all the positive responses I got questioning them including the price of one I put on hold, I did finally get it today. It was $429.00 OTD, no charge for the “instant background check.” (I was number 97 and it took 47 minutes.)

I thank you all again for filling me in on these. I think it is great addition.

Jim

A bargain, I’d say! 4040s are great. I don’t use mine often these days, but I’m certainly in no hurry to be rid of it. I am always surprised that it handles recoil so well. Terrific little gun and under-appreciated, IMO. Congratulations on that one.

Thats a very nice looking 4040. Hopefully it shoots well for you. These are great pistols and they are easy to carry if you want to.

Thank you very much, yes.

Even the mag followers are new, no sign of being used ever. As someone mentioned here in my first 4040PD question thread, there seems to be no love for the .40 cal. That is good for me, (and others,) cause I seem to be picking up some really nice examples lately. Even my first ever .40, (a Shorty I got under six months ago,) was “only” $460.00 and is again like new.

I’m really thinking differently about this caliber and not just due to the incredibly low prices for them.
