Real Street Price for 1076
Whats the current honest street price for a 1076 with FBI features but no gravitas that it was an actual FBI sidearm? Don't care what the value is, I'm interested in what one can expect to pay for one in excellent shape at today's prices.

I bought this one at a gun show early last year. I paid $700 OTD for the gun in a S&W box that had a label that matched the gun, but probably not the original box it shipped in. I think that was a very good price.
Here's what Mr. Jinks said about it:
"Model 1076 serial TEP7961 was originally shipped in February 1991. It is an interesting gun that has been around, but not an FBI gun."

$700 for the above gun is a smoking deal. I paid $750 two years ago with no box for a similar gun and thought I got an outstanding deal. $900 ish with box s a good deal today in my opinion. Possibly more.

I paid $900 for an excellent in-box 1076 about 5 years ago. A factory T&E letter survived with it.

I have two, including a Raleigh PD gun with marked plastic box. Traded for that one. The other with original box and papers, looks unused, about $1000.

Non-LE issued 1076s are going to be found typically $2-300 cheaper than LE issued variants. That being said I most recently watched a Virginia State Police issued 1076 sell on GB for just under $1300 plus shipping and transfer.
On the other hand I've seen non-LE pieces sell for $800 lately.
These prices are assuming there is no original box but gun is in EXCELLENT condition. Also bear in mind the magazines have been selling for $60-$80 a piece lately.
Prices are really all over the place. I wouldn't expect to ever find one under $800 anymore though, and unless it was an FBI gun I wouldn't give more than $1300, with a Jinks letter.

It depends on the street and which state it’s located. In Nevada you likely won’t see any 3rd Gen 10mm under $1000+.

I thought they used 1026? Or did they have both?

Had a chance to buy my department-issued M1076 when we were making the switch to the M4566.
Didn't for two reasons - while I'd shot it A LOT, I was never really pleased with it's accuracy, or actually lack thereof.
And - IIRC I was in 'rifle mode' interest at the time.
A couple of years later, bought a NIB M1076 from the Dad of an officer I worked with. He'd just wanted the same model auto his son was issued, and when the issued gun changed he had little interest in it. He never shot it.
Figured it was worth the $400.
And - accuracy-wise it's much better than my old 1076 was.

I wouldn't take less than $1,000.00 for my "seemingly" unfired 1076 in mint condition, but then, I never sell my guns either.

I sold my 1076 for $900 with three magazines recently. It was fun to shoot, just wanted something else. I’ll buy a double action only 10mm eventually.

Besides the FBI, who did they sell 1076's to that had the mag safety removed?
