Default Info on 457 tda zander?

Hey guys,
Wanting to get some info on a brand new in box 2 tone 457 tda. Serial number starts with vyz.

I have a chance to buy a 2 tone 457 bnib. I've read some posts on here from years back about a zander model that was 2 tone in 457?

The guy wants 480.00 shipped. And I'm wanting to know if that's a decent price? Is it true that this was a one year only model? And if so does anyone have info on production numbers for it? Seems like years back in this forum people were paying in the 4-500 dollar range for them. Has the price appreciated in the last couple years for this model?

Once again, thanks for any info on it

I have been bitten by the s&w auto's bug!!.
I cant believe how amazing these guns are for the money!!! rs=w_1800,h_1800.jpeg-2.jpg

That's a nice looking gun.

The SCSW says that they were made in 1997 only for Zander. It also says that they are worth 2x the value of single color guns, however I've never seen one priced nearly that high.

Maybe an ANIB gun is worth that, but I'm not convinced.

For $480.00, I'd snap that up. Magazines seem to be fairly common for the 3rd Gen 45 compact guns.

The 457 is a very much under appreciated compact .45.

For $480 and BNIB, the only decision you need to make is whether to shoot it!

All of the 457 versions -- black, two-tone, and stainless -- are underappreciated, reliable, and capable pistols. Prices on them don't reflect their value, which is a shame, but right now is a great time to get one.

I understand your desire to find out production numbers, which will probably be difficult without a Jinks letter, but I think what you should focus on is that BNIB examples of any of the three are rare. You've made a great find, now go make a great buy!
