Default Smith and Wesson model 457

I have acquired a Smith and Wesson 457 and was wondering if a laser sight would fit it.

There is nothing practical to mount a laser to a 457 that I am aware of.
There is no rail and Crimson Trace doesn't offer a laser grip for it.

They are fantastic pistols though, welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the Forum

As dusty3030 has already mentioned, there are no currently manufactured Lasers that are specific to the Model 457

There are quite a few different generic style lasers that could be mounted, but they are not elegant at all

Most attach to the front end of the trigger guard and go forward from there. You would never be able to holster it

Here is an example on a different semi-auto

The Model 457 was part of Smith & Wesson's Value Series

Most mainstream accessory companies did not go heavily into aftermarket accessories specificaly for those firearms

Yes that’s what I currently have on there for a laser and don’t like it at all haha. I know Streamlight makes lasers for non-rail pistols but it only looks like they are for 1911 models. I know Barrel length is different, but how close is the frame/trigger area of the 457 and 1911?
