I was the high bidder on item............
gunbroker 853061570,,a Model39-2,,,along with 7 magazines.
A tad under $400 plus shipping. Been wanting a companion
for my ISP Model 39 and now I'll have it.
I was prepared to pay quite a bit more, so, I'm super happy.

Outstanding score. Minus the finish wear the gun looks solid. The wooden grips look fantastic and a those magazines made that a bargain. Single stack 39 series factory mags are scarce and valuable.

Based on the pictures, I'd say that Model 39-2 was someone's competition pistol. Magazines appear well used, I'd say you could average $35 per magazine, so there's $245. The slide has been modified with Millet fully adjustable sights. The front sight required the stock sight to be milled flat, then two holes drilled through which the Millet sight is riveted into place, so the slide is permanently altered, but if the receiver is trashed, you could get $200 for the slide very easily. Then there is the factory rear sight and all the parts in the receiver. Basically, for $400 you bought at least $500 or more in parts, assuming that the receiver is trashed. If the receiver is not trashed, you got a $600+ set for $400. Any way you look at it, you got a bargain.

Thanks for your post stansdds!
Just being a 39 caught my eye, but, all the mags made the deal for me. I didn't notice all things you did. Sorta had blinders on I suppose. I know I just love My old 39 ISP and wanted to save wear and tear on the ISP by getting another Model 39. ?? Will the side from the 39-2 go onto the 39 ISP??

Saving wear & tear on your ISP Model 39 is a good idea, as some of them date to 1967. Mine (inventory #415) dates to 1967 or '68. I bought it back from ISP when ISP went to the 439 (around 1980). A couple of years ago, the external part of the 2 piece safety/decocker came loose from the internal part that blocks the hammer. I was hoping that someone would weigh in on your question re putting a 39-2 slide on a Model 39.

Deals like that are getting few & far between in these parts.
We should all be so fortunate.

Finally put a few rounds thru the 39-2.
Health issues had kept me inside for some time.
Was able to get out yesterday and put about 100 rounds
thru the 39-2. All magazines worked fine and all rounds went downrange without a hitch. I am more than pleased. Oh yeah, accuracy seemed decent too!!

6 factory and 1 aftermarket
4 of the factorys mags have the metal x type follower and the other 2 have plastic followers.
The aftermarket mag is a 9 rounds chrome mag with orange follower.

I've had a few great GB scores, but they were mostly low-feedback sellers. I don't think buyers realize that GB puts sellers through a fairly intensive vetting, and also will reimburse the buyer $500 for deals gone bad. As a result, the deals are there if you can pull your loyalty away from the high-feedback dealers for a moment, who aren't any more honest than anyone else. One exception, of course, is our buddy Mr. Brewster who I buy most of my guns from.

What's an ISP Model 39? Do you mean ASP, which was Paris Theodore's brainchild.

Seven magazines...YOWZA!
Even if they were all non factory that's still around $120 off the price.
