OK so, I FINALLY got a TDU prefix 4513TSW
Been trying to find a non railed, LE order 7rnd 4513TSW for a very long time. All of the other S&W semi’s I was looking and or wanting didn’t take that long to find with “some” patience.
But thanks to one our own here, I was told about one on GB. It was pretty much mis-listed so I didn’t even see it. I really want to thank him, again. I also want to thank RedCardinal for not bidding $5.00 higher.
It is the MOST spectacular example of S&W builds. I have a few PC’s, but this pistols fit and trigger is about the best there is. Really. The Trigicon’s are dim, but again they can be re-lamped.
New springs and grip are already on the way but I won’t be able to do a test drive for two weeks due to work schedule.
All of you here are great and I am amazed about all the help and support that is given.
Jim

Congratulations. We're not really a support group here. We are more of an enabler and egging people on to buy guns group.
Oh, and that's what my 457S wants to be when it grows up!

I really do NOT like it when someone keeps taking an uninteresting post to the top to keep it active. This is not my intention so I do apologize for me doing it if bothers anyone.
Im finding it surprising that both non-railed 4513TSW’s, (6rnd and 7rnd,) left S&W at @ the same time. According to everything I’ve found, the 7rnd 4513TSW’s were not even reintroduced till 2000. (?) Maybe the non-railed, 7rnd 4513TSW’s were a “pre” 7rnd railed run. (?) Were they an LE order run only? Sure wish I had more info/facts. Anyone here have anything else?
I want to know more but I’m sure a $100.00 “letter” would not help.

Nice score of a rare gem. Congrats!
Yours is 4 digits from mine. And mine came to me from a New Jersey LE agency, courtesy of a heads up from my friend Martya. Thanks again Martya!
These came about after the early, 6 round mag, rail free original 4513TSW. Which was made from 97 to 99 IIRC. Three LE Agencies ordered rail free 4513TSWs in the 7 round mag versions, that I am aware of. One in NJ, and two in Arizona.
Minimum order was 50 units. So, there are at least 150 examples out there, maybe more. But they do not appear often. And mine is one of the most accurate 45s I have ever shot. And I have shot some nice ones.
Hope this helps! Enjoy that fine 45! I personally find this thread VERY interesting!
Looking forward to your range report and shooting impressions. Regards 18DAI

18DAI, thanks again, (again and again...) Great info and a great 4613 that you gave me a heads up on. Very appreciated. I would have totally missed it.
I didn’t want to credit you for telling me about it cause I’m sure others here have been looking for one. I don’t want anyone to be mad at you.

You are very welcome! No worries. You were the only one I knew who was looking for one of those.
They are not well known. And other than we few here, nobody pays attention to anything that isn't plastic.
Glad that fine pistol found a good home! Regards 18DAI

Well now that I know there's a 7 round non-railed 4513 TSW, I want one to complement my non-railed 4513 TSW 6 round model. And to go with my 4516-1. I'll have to add it to the list. Thanks 4T5GUY for making me aware!

While I was looking at them/dusting them off I decided to get them all in a group photo. I’m surprised and embarrassed at the same time.
