Default 4566 Magazines

I have the opportunity to trade for a 4566 pistol. The seller sent pictures of the pistol and magazines. Two of the mags have an orange follower and one has a yellow follower. The one with the yellow follower has what looks like an indent on the top of each side. I recall seeing a post in the past that explained the differences in the 45 series mags but can't find it now. If someone has it can you please send it to me? So do you think both of these mags will function in the 4566?

Yes, they'll function.

The changes in the mags weren't related to their interface with the pistol, but rather over the durability of the assembly and retention of the top round in the mag. I have examples of every type of 4500 series mag made and they all work in pistols with the full size frame: 4506, 4566, etc..

The black followers are the latest variation, small bump on them to help retain the last round in right position.I would update any mags to the black follower. Although the other followers worked fine in my full size guns.
In all the years working with this pistol the only recall issue was mags that had a yellow magazine spring / spring not follower// those springs were weak and needed to be replaced.
