SW 457 holster preferences
I have had 3 457s for awhile and am now down to just one. Today I was looking at possible carry options as I have not carried one before only range work. Suggestions for holsters? It could be OWB or IWB.
I prefer leather and I personally am fond of De Santis gear but I can be pretty flexible.
I will ask the same for the 5906 as a OWB rig?

For leather, Don Hume makes a nice IWB holster. I know a guy who has one listed in the classifieds!
For OWB for the 5906, Don Hume also makes the H721. That's designed for the square trigger guard, but the round trigger guard also fits.

Mine is a 1989 build. The H721 fits perfectly. I don't know if they still make them though.

I have a Don Hume JIT for a 457 that works great. Also a DeSantis Professional model, that was made for a 4516, that also works very well.
I have found that leather, non fitted holsters for a Glock 23 work as well. I am currently using a Milt Sparks IWB, made for a G23, that holds my 457 perfectly. Very comfortable IWB holster too.
Hope this helps! Start carrying that fine 45 mbliss57 Regards 18DAI

Sometimes I use a Bianchi Professional 100 for my (pre-rail) 4553TSW which is of similar size to a 457. IIRC it is a size 11?

Their website shows it available for the 4516, so it will fit the 457 perfectly.

I also use a Crossbreed holster for my 4553TSW when I'm on my motorcycle.

Mike....a Stoner 415 IWB is a what I use for my 3913nl, my 6906...and another for my HK 45c....which works perfectly for my 4516 and I just slipped in my 4513 (which should look quite familiar to you)...to take a pic....Stoner has a lot of custom options to fit your needs and lists a 4516 as a choice..... this is the HK 45c model holster but fits the 4513 perfect....and made right here in the Buckeye...

I suggest considering the H715-M holster or one of the other choices from Don Hume... S&W 457 : Don Hume Leathergoods, Simply the Best!
I bought an H715-M WCS for my 3953LS a few months ago and liked the fit and finish a lot. An added bonus is the holster works with my 3953, 6904 and 6906 round trigger guard guns. A nice stable concealed carry holster with a 1.75" clip that I wear just in front of my hip.
This is a fine IWB option because the clip-on design allows for easy clip-on which can be moved to different spots on the belt for various situations.

I use a DeSantis 3-slot OWB holster designed for the 4516 for my 457. As a matter of fact, it's on my hip right now.
Was a pretty tight draw at first until I got the leather wet and re-formed it over my 457 (in plastic wrap), now it's damn near perfect. Still can be a tight draw due to the blockiness around the chamber port, but nothing to hinder me should I need to use it.

SW 457 holster preferences
I use a Don Hume PCCH right now that I really like. I use it on 4006 TSW CHP, 5906, Sig P239 SAS and railed 229. I have attached a pic. It’s a #30.
I contacted Don Hume to see if they can give me the equivalent for a 4516.
I also like the Galco Summer Comfort
And and this Bianchi. In my holster Bin just found a Mitch Rosin Belt holster that the 457 fits.
I don’t want to spend money on something unless I know it fits me well. I can use this for now. I am going to try to get the Don Hume PCCH though.
