$11500+ Performance Center Semi Auto
There is a 952 on the auction site right now going for over $11,500 with more than a day left. It is a 1 of 17 black and polished 952 6 inch. Nice gun but WOW! I saw one sell a few years ago for I think less than$4000. Appears to not even have an original case.

I'd pay that for Alan Ladd's original SAA and holster / concho belt...but that's the only thing I can think of that would be worth almost 12 grand to me.

Have you ever seen one? 1 of 17 is extremely rare. How much do Singers go for?

If you're rich.......and if you're a collector of anything.....there is no telling what you'll pay for an item that you want. I'd rather have Clint Eastwood's snake revolver or Paladin's holster..........

You are correct does not have original case. Also this seller is a known shiller and 45 autorim is his shill bidder. I called him out on it a year ago when he shilled me up on a item of his I was bidding on. His response was so its a free country I can do what I want and blocked me ever since...

Well, I saw one JUST like that one, (very most close up perfect pictures,) and it sure looked nice to me.
I’m super glad for the seller cause it’s gonna go higher.

Maybe but if you actually look at a few facts, it seems not.
The current high bidders bid was before the last “shill” bidders one, (two.)
If you spend the time to look at just what the “shill” has just recently bought you’d get a different view. He has been high bid on a few nice ones from the likes of sarah15 and woodlawn boys. Not a very smart “shill” or he’s in cahoots with some VERY reputable and respected sellers.

Look at all his feedback with the seller. I seen first hand knowledge of it numerous times and seen 45autorim buy several items from the seller and 2 months later all the same items back up again for sale because the shiller won them. The seller is a ***.

It seems to high a price given the market to me. But I could be wrong. I have seen two of these on line and know one of them sold for MUCH less. Also the not original case is odd for such a nice gun.

Wow. Up to 12.5K now. I think I would rather have another Registered Magnum at that price.

That being the case, have you contacted Gunbroker.Com regarding this person having a shill account to elevate bids on their items as well as the communications of him more or less stating there's nothing that you can do about it. This I believe is a violation AUP on Gunbroker.
Consequently, the person bidding over 12K for a semi-auto pistol obviously has the kind of money and the lack of common sense to drive this price. Much as I love collecting S&W vintage autos there's no way I would even approach that sum.

I'm sure the high bidder isn't worried about the stock market presently, or he is several bricks shy of a load.

Numerous times I have. They just don't care at all. I have presented proof numerous times not just with this one but with others. I also filed one 2 months ago and never received a responded back yet. Gunbroker cares about money and that's it period.

Hmmm...... Just might be time to put my one of one, 45CQB prototype, that appeared in American Hangunner up on the auction board.
For that kind of money I will throw in a like new copy of the issue it appeared in! Regards 18DAI

To my knowledge the production quantity of 17 has never been confirmed with a production letter. I have observed serial numbers DAB1220, DAB1221, DAB1229, and DAB1290; is it possible 70 units were produced? For the price of the pistol I would certainly want concrete evidence of production numbers. Maybe there is something 100% definitive out there, but I have not come across it yet.
It certainly is a beautiful pistol.

Quite obvious actually, look at the rest of the sellers auctions. The shill (45autorim) which I am sure is another account owned by the seller is bidding on a wide spectrum of the rest of the sellers guns for sale too right now. Been doing it for over a year and has won several upon several and then weeks later they all get relisted and positive feedback left to boot. 100 percent shill bidding going on, if you can't see that I don't know how much more obvious it can be....

Well, if you actually do that I’m ready. I’ll list my excellent condition American Handgunner that highlighted YOUR CQB. I’ve saved it and savored it for this long but it’s time to let it go. I’m thinking it’ll go for @ $100.00.

Yep I see it NOW for sure. Thanks for the heads up and bringing me back to reality. Looks like there is more than just one “shill” bidder involved with all of this. Still kinda weird that high bid is still high before BOTH “shill” bidders have raised.

Well it went for $12,775. A new record I think for a Performance Center Semi Auto I believe. Previous was a PPC9 6 inch at about $8500??

The best thing is one of “own” here commissioned that sale and did GREAT.
I’m very happy for him cause although he might miss that 952, it was a perfect time to sell it and there’s no reason for regret.
